Summary: December 7th and 8th, 2007
3:30pm ? 8:30pm
The Ogaden Voice for Peace and the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice at the University of San Diego will hold their second annual conference on December 7th and 8th, 2007. This conference will examine the political and humanitarian situation in the Ogaden and the larger Horn of Africa. The conference will bring together members of the Diaspora with others interested in the region to examine ways to promote and advocate for more durable peace with justice.
The two-day conference will include speakers and panels discussing issues facing the Ogaden and the larger Horn of Africa including our keynote speaker, The Honorable James Knight
Director, Office of East African Affairs at the US State Department.
We hope that the conference will provide a means for the Diaspora to network, share information, and decide how they might mobilize in support of human rights for all inhabitants of the area.
Please SAVE THE DATE for this important annual conference addressing the crucial international crises occurring in the Horn of Africa, particularly in the Ogaden region.
